I grew up in South Sacramento and went to Peter Burnett, All Hallows and St. Francis HS. I lived and taught in Dixon for a while, and moved back to Sacramento in 2013.

I attended Sacramento State University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (1986), teaching credential in Physical Education and Science (1987), as well as, played D1 softball.
